Amazon rainforest

Climate change can reduce rainfall so the Amazon rainforest gets drier and drier. At least half of the rainforest could turn into savannah and grassland, in just a few decades. This would lead to a substantial loss in biodiversity and huge impact on the world’s climate because forests absorb much more carbon dioxide than grasslands.
